It might seem a bit early to be launching next year’s festivals, but Camden Crawl is getting in there early.

Next year’s event will move to the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, marking the start of 2010’s festival season.

Discounted early bird tickets for the bash, which will be sponsored by Gaymers cider, go on sale next Thursday (October 29) and the line-up will be announced early next year. The first 1000 to buy tickets will receive a very special limited edition War Child and Gaymers Camden Crawl Christmas card featuring a free compilation album titled Camden Heroes featuring tracks from Camden rooted artists who have performed at Crawls over the years, including Graham Coxon, Emmy the Great and the Holloways.

As if that’s not enough to persuade you, ticket holders will also be given the opportunity to attend a very special fund-raising launch gig on November 4 in Camden Town. The show will feature a selection of the Camden artists appearing on the compilation and secret surprise guests. The gig will be free before 7:00 pm on a first come first serve basis for any event ticket holders. Secret guests will not be announced until day of the event via the Crawl’s Twitter feed.

This year saw performances from Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Kasabian, The Maccabees and Little Boots and the 2010 Crawl looks set to the biggest yet.
