Rolo Tomassi will head to Los Angeles to produce their second album, with superstar underground DJ Diplo taking production duties.

In a completely unexpected twist, the Sheffield band will team up with the former school teacher, who is renowned for his work with Santogold and MIA as well as for his remixes of the likes of Radiohead, Britney Spears, Bloc Party and Hot Chip.

The quintet, fronted by Eva Spence, were approached by Diplo, real name Thomas Wesley Pentz, at this year’s SXSW event is Austin, Texas. The DJ had previously spoken of his love for the band in interviews with the Guardian and Pitchfork.

The album is expected to be released in March next year.
